Rana Sanaullah’s judge hearing repatriated to Lahore High Court

Lahore: The judge of the Anti-Narcotics Force adjourned the hearing of the bail plea of Rana Sanaullah after having been advised that he was repatriated to the Lahore High Court.

The judge said he learned through a WhatsApp message that he was repatriated, according to local news channel.

Sanaullah’s lawyer said during the hearing that the ANF had applied for his client’s statutory remand without even attempting physical remand.

“It clearly shows that this case is politically motivated,” the lawyer was quoted as having said during the hearing.

Before announcing that he could no longer hear the case, the judge came for an hour-long break.

After the break, attorney for the leader of the PML-N said he saw it come as he knew “how powerful was the situation of ANF.”

The judge said that he was accountable to the Almighty Allah and on merit would have chosen the case of Rana Sanaullah.

Rana Sanaullah’s lawyer, speaking to the media, said the development was unprecedented and it happened during his practice for the first time.
