COLOMBO: Sri Lankan police fireplace tear fuel to carry again 1000’s of demonstrators mobbing the premier´s workplace in Colombo on Wednesday, AFP reporters on the scene noticed.

The protesters had been demanding that Ranil Wickremesinghe step down together with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who has promised to take action on Wednesday and earlier flew to the Maldives.

Sri Lanka declares state of emergency 

Earlier within the day, crisis-hit Sri Lanka declared an indefinite nationwide state of emergency on Wednesday, hours after President Gotabaya Rajapaksa fled the nation, confirmed the prime minister’s workplace.
