Opening of Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh Yatrees a historic step of PM Imran: Ch. Sarwar

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar says the opening of Kartarpur Corridor for Sikh yatrees is a historic step of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He was addressing a press conference along with Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, at Governor House in Lahore this afternoon.

The Governor said all minorities enjoy equal rights in Pakistan as per the constitution.

He said Sikh conventions will be held in Lahore and Nankana Sahib on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.

He said first such convention will be held at Governor House in Lahore in which Sikhs form all over the world will participate.

Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said all out measures will be taken to safeguard the rights of minorities enabling them to perform their rituals and rites according to their faith.
