Former Pakistani captain Misbah-ul-Haq stepped down from his position on the cricket board and filed a request for the position of head coach. The 45-year-old presented his request for the release of the vacant head coach role according to information.
“Strict competition for the[ head coach] role can be expected,” Misbah said. The Pakistan Cricket Board announced earlier this month that it had chosen not to renew agreements with head coach Mickey Arthur, bowling coach Azhar Mahmood, batting coach Grant Flower and coach Grant Luden.
