Eidul Azha doubtless on July 10, Ashura on Aug 8, says astronomer

KARACHI: Eidul Azha is more likely to be celebrated in Pakistan on July 10 whereas Ashura (tenth Muharram) is anticipated to be on August 8, in keeping with Dr Javed Iqbal, Karachi College’s Head of Institute of Area Science and Know-how.

He mentioned that on June 29, the Islamic date may also be 29.

“When the solar units on that day, the altitude of the moon will likely be lower than 5 levels and the period of the setting of the solar and the moon will likely be half-hour, so the moon is not going to be seen,” Dr Javed Iqbal mentioned.

The astronomer mentioned the primary Zilhaj will likely be on July 1 whereas Eidul Azha will likely be noticed on July 10. In regards to the begin of the Islamic calendar, he mentioned the primary Muharram will likely be on July 30 and the day of Ashura (tenth Muharram) will likely be on August 8.
